The future at a glance

World of Material Handling

In May this year, Linde Material Handling (MH) will be presenting the World of Material Handling live and interactive for several weeks together with partners and suppliers at the Mainz Trade Fair Park. The “World of Material Handling” is a unique experience that will introduce customers and potential buyers to the latest solutions as well as trends and visions for internal material flow across more than 20,000 square metres of exhibition space. There will be presentations, multimedia shows and special events and lectures by experts on specific dates. In addition, visitors are invited to test drive trucks on a special course, giving them the chance to get up close and personal with various industrial trucks. Interested parties should contact the regional Linde distribution partners.

And that’s not all, as a whole host of current and upcoming Linde products await visitors at the World of Material Handling: first and foremost, the Linde Safety Pilot, a unique assistance system for trucks that is not available anywhere else in the world. This system indicates to the driver the load and resulting maximum lift height and ensures that the truck stays within the limits, greatly reducing the most common cause of accidents—driver operating errors—and making significant improvements in safety during truck operation.

Also to be seen in action are the new generation Linde E12 to E20 EVO electric forklift trucks with increased energy efficiency, individually adjustable driving dynamics and improved comfort and safety. In addition, there are two trailer train solutions, Linde Lo-gistic Train and Linde Factory Train, which are designed with maximum flexibility and user comfort in mind. What’s more, already waiting in the wings is a new electric forklift truck series with a load capacity of 6 to 8 tonnes and pallet trucks with a load capacity of 1.6 to 2 tonnes and a lithium-ion battery. Other topics that will be covered at this event include truck networking via computers and the Internet for fleet optimization (Con-nected Solutions), as well as demonstrations of the sustainability of the products and production processes at Linde MH.
